Light Therapy is a way of using colours to enhance and restore our body’s energy. Colour therapy works on a holistic level. It works on the mind, body and spirit by addressing the origin of the health problem (disease), and it helps us to stimulate the process of self-healing. It can be used for balancing our energies in order to prevent possible problems.
Colour is energy. Every colour has its own wavelength and frequency. As a result, we perceive colour not only visually, but absorb it subconsciously through our skin. When penetrating our body, colour produces chemical reactions that affect the function of various organs and systems. Colour helps our skin “tissues” and organs to stock up on energy, thus increasing the body’s resistance. This newly charged energy gives us strength to fight against disease.
Our health is dependant upon our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs.
Exposure to blue light during the day can make you feel more alert and improve reaction time, focus, and productivity
When you get a lot of bright light during the day, levels of melatonin, a hormone that makes you sleepy, are suppressed," study author Frida Rångtell says. "In the evening, melatonin increases sharply, and nighttime blue-light exposure has less of an impact.
Green is the universal healing colour.
Green is midway in the colour spectrum; therefore, it contains both a physical nature and a spiritual nature, in equal balance and in equal harmony.
Gazing at green light can reduce chronic pain (caused by fibromyalgia or migraines.
